PC won't boot and not sure what to do

So a few days ago, my computer randomly shut off by itself. When I tried to turn it back on, it would only power up for a few seconds and then shut off again. I then googled for a bit before I tried to reseat the RAM into the mobo and then reboot. This increased the time that the PC stayed powered on (from shutting off after a few seconds to shutting off after around 30 seconds). But, since that didn't fix it, I tried reseating the CMOS battery (found that as a potential fix after googling around as well), but now the PC will not power on at all. I'm pretty lost as to why my PC randomly shut off and now won't even boot. Can anyone walk me through what I should be doing to check what's malfunctioning? (I'm just hoping I didn't accidentally short circuit the whole damn thing because I think I left the power supply cable plugged in when I reseated either the RAM or the CMOS battery even though I switched the PSU off)

I'm also pretty clueless on how things work (my friend helped me put this PC together) so I don't really know much about computers beyond the basics.

So I just left the CMOS battery out for like 30 minutes and put it back and tried to boot again. The PC will actually boot now, but it still turns off after like 5 seconds and keeps trying to turn back on. Also, now I can't even get the monitor to display when I boot.

What should I do now because I don't want to go and buy parts yet when I'm still not sure why this is even happening.

Not sure, but how would I test that the PSU is the problem and not anything else?

No I don't think so. There're other computers in the house I could check, but I'm thinking I should just order a new one since I'm not even sure how to remove the PSU from the other ones.

How would I check the cooler? And no I can't get into the BIOS because it shuts off a few seconds after turning it on.

Also, I can still see the CPU cooler fans and the GPU fans spinning when I boot before it shuts off.

Yup, everything seemed okay then. So would ordering another PSU be a good option at this point?

So try booting with the GPU removed? Sorry lol, I don't really know what you mean by "see how it does on the igp, use the motherboard output for that". Like I mentioned, I'm pretty clueless about this lol.

Ok, just tried that and it didn't seem to help. What should I do next?
