Im semi familiar with pc components and hardware but by no means a expert. Problem is as stated pc worked fine night before, next day i turned on and had no signal to monitor and would not turn off with the power button.
Specs are
Asus m5a97 r2.0 mobo
16 gig g.skill ddr3 ram 2x4 gb 1x8gb
Evga gtx 970
Rosewill arc m650 psu
Amd fx8120 cpu
Windows 7
Havent changed any hardware recently, bought a new dvi to hdmi adapter and hdmi cord to test, problem still persists. I suspect the mobo as it is almost 7 yrs old. If so any tips on installing a new one? As i have never had to replace a mobo and any suggestions on a upgrade from the current mobo?
