Hi, I have a AMD Radeon R9 380. For some reason it isn't being detected. Only appearing as "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter". My graphics card has in fact worked on this PC before and ever since it malfunctioned and I had to take it to the computer shop, it isn't working anymore. I've uninstalled the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter and it hasn't solved anything. I've tried looking through the BIOS to sort it out but I couldn't find anything. I've installed an AMD driver from the internet and whenever I try to open it, it comes up with the message "No AMD graphics driver is installed, or the AMD driver is not functioning properly. Please install the AMD driver appropriate for your AMD hardware" even though I have downloaded the correct one.
Does anyone know what to do?
Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Thanks for the advice, I've tried it and unfortunately it didn't fix the issue at all. Microsoft Basic Display Adapter still appears and my graphics card is no where to be seen in device manager.

Kyalis, You mention "and ever since it malfunctioned and I had to take it to the computer shop." what was the issue when you took it in ?
also did you try to run GPUZ or SPECCY to see what they reveal as to how they identify the video card as?
thirdly did you visually inspect inside your PC to confirm the RADEON R9. 380 was actually in the computer?

I will wait for result of what GPUZ/SPECCY tell you, (they talk directly to hardware so will reveal what information the card will state they are.)
