Moving dsl router from one room to another but now internet isn't working

I'm trying to figure this out without having FRONTIERS ppl come here BC when he installed got here at 9am didn't finish no exaggeration til 430pm i cannot do that again just to install reinstal internet...i just moved into my condo the day I'm moving my stuff the installer came (i space bad timing) so when he asked where i wanted it i said where ever... its in the kitchen i have two kids I'm single mom my daughter is messing with the wiring hanging off my counters plus the connection stregth is awful to my room so i moved it to my room exactly how it was set up only disconnected from the outlet and wall jack then plugged into my room... connects wifi But here's the problem.....

MY INTERNET ISN'T CONNECTING NOW everything works i have a splitter so my house line works calls out get calls in golden the router connected lights flashing all devices connect to wifi... haven't tried an actual hard line to the router with ethernet BC i don't have anything that would be able to (no computer/lap top) so that's where I'm lost. I rest let sit and restarted like they always tell you when "troubleshooting" even disconnected every wire then reconnected 30 second nothing please help my kids will kill me if i can't fix thus before they ccme home... single mom 2 little little kids who are Pretty used to morning cuddles and cartoons with mommy on Sunday's before pancakes... any help please thank you!!!

If you move it back to the kitchen, does it work?

Not sure I can help but I can tell you that the WiFi connections will work even if you are not getting internet. So that is normal. Your devices are connecting to the router (gateway) but the router is not passing along the internet, probably because it is not picking up internet from the phone jack you are plugged into.

If you take it back and plug it into the original spot, does it work? Have you tried other phone jacks around the house?

So A works, B doesn't, logic dictates something wrong with B. Are you ABSOLUTELY sure the phone jack in B is enabled and working?

DSL is not always active on every line in the house. Your are going to have to have someone come out there.
