I received a pair of Logitech G633 7.1 gaming headset for Christmas.
They sound amazing! The 7.1 is great in games however one one my main things I do is talk with my friends using voip. My last headset (turtle beach X11) had perfect mic monitoring. Felt like I wasn't even wearing hard phones at all. Zero muffle. So naturally I wanted to have the same thing with my G633s. However when using them and having the sidetone enabled I get a very annoying static / white noise. The volume of the noise goes up or down depending on the level of sidetone. When sidetone is set to zero there is zero noise. I have already contacted Logitech and they have replaced the headset once. The problem still happens on 2nd pair as well.
I have:
•tried a different USB cable
•different USB ports
•tried on different computer
•different versions of the Logitech gaming software
•disabled sidetone and used listen to device under windows audio manager (did not care for because of lag in feedback)

Wanted to post here before I outright return the headset or try to exchange for another pair again.

Anyone having the same issue??
Or better yet anyone able to fix?

Thanks very much for any thoughts or suggestions. I really want to keep these. The sound is great! But the sidetone static is super annoying when talking to friends.

Hey!
First i have to say: I do not have a solution for that, sorry =( But i can say you this: Some days ago i bought the new Logitech G533 and it has the same issue. I haven't owned a pair of headphones with sidetone before, so i don't know if it is regular or not. I would like to use it, but it's annoying as hell. When i want to record my game footage with the microfone included, you can hear the white noise aswell...and that's stupid. I will contact Logitech for that. I hope that there will be a fix for this issue.

So sorry that i couldn't help. But now you know that you're not the only one with the problem. The strange thing is that there aren't as many people as i expected, when i search for a solution on Google.

Have a nice day!

PS: Sorry for my bad english.

XylofonTropf,
Glad to hear I'm not alone here! Thanks for posting. Sounds like you can hear the white noise in the recordings you create as well? That's different then my issue. I only hear it in the sidetone, my recordings are crystal clear.

I think you replied to my post on the Logitech forums as well.
I created a Reddit as well. I've only gotten a few responses in total between all forums. One person suggested turning off sidetone in the Logitech gaming software and Turing on "listen to device" under the windows audio controller for the microphone. It works OK, but there is a half second delay from speaking to hearing. Annoying for me.
Right now i can offer 2 options that half work for me. Sorry not a fix.
1) sidetone to 10 and boost the equalizer a bit. With this I can bearly hear the static.
Or
2) turn off sidetone and get used to not using it. (This is what I'm currently trying)

Good luck and I hope you find a solution! If you do keep me posted!! I will do the same.

Hey MmartianD!

Thank you for your response. You're right - i posted a response in the Logitech forums as well. I already guessed that you were the one who posted the same issue in the Logitech forums :D

Too bad, that this issue is not that kind of wellknown. I already tried your "Listen to device"-suggestion a few days ago - not the best solution. I decided to turn off sidetone completely. While listening to music or playing a game it's okay, but when you're just chilling on your desktop without any music it get's so annoying. But thank you for your tip with setting sidetone to 10! Maybe i will try that out.

In regard to the recordings: Yesterday i played a game with a friend. We've used Teamspeak for communication. To record the gamefootage i've used Geforce Experience (Shadowplay). The file has a constant white noise to it and sometimes a really loud, high-pitched sound. The strange thing: It always happens on a different time-marker in the video, even when i repeat the same clip again - with the headphones/headset or speakers. A few moments ago i tried the "recorder" tool built in Windows 10. While speaking: no white noise. While listening to the saved file: White noise -.- Now that i know that you have crystal clear recordings the headset get's more and more annoying.

It's really getting me upset. You pay 150,00 € and get a whole bunch of problems. I will test it for more 2-3 days to come, maybe someone finds a solution. If not, i will return it or send it to Logitech. If i find a solution i will answer to your post!

Thank you for your response! Again I'm sorry for my english :) Hope you can understand me though!

Edit: I've looked for some test videos of this headset. The test recordings sounds exactly like mine does, so i think that's a normal/regular thing.

Those videos sound pretty freaking good to me! I do get what the one guy is saying that his voice blends into the background. But they still sounded good. Maybe I hear a slight slight static behind everything, but I personally think it's good.
My sidetone static is much louder then that.

(Unless I am missing something in the videos)

I am getting used to just having sidetone off. Training myself not to speak as loudly. Starting to not bother me.

Found this thread after a Google search of "Artemis Spectrum white noise." I don't have a solution, but wanted to let you guys know you are not alone. I have not yet tried with sidetone off. That will be next. Frustrating, as this may not be widespread, but clearly it is not all that unique, either.

Will update if I find anything.

Todclifton,
Sorry you got a white noise pair as well.
Been a while since this post has been active. I have never found a solution. Everything I tried just kept giving me the white noise whenever the sidetone was set above zero.
I've just gotten used to keeping the sidetone off. Does not bother me at all and I have learned to control my voice volume so I'm not shouting into the mic because I can't hear myself. My buddies online say I sound completely normal. Other then that, these headphones sound freaking amazing. So I am happy.

If you do run across a solution or anything please post it!
Thanks for post.
Good luck.
