What If Windows 10 wasn't Limited To NX processors?
This is just for fun. I wanna know how far it could go. Pentium 1? Also, is there a way to get rid of that limitation?

RAM limitations for the motherboard
HDD size limits
CPU instruction set
Basically, you're trying to shove Range Rover, Ferrari, Honda minivan performance into a 20 year old moped.

then i don't get it. like every piece of software it has requirements to run. I remember trying to install windows 2000 back in the day with a PC with less then 16MB of ram and windows refused to install it. whether MS allows you to install software without these limitations now i do not know.

"What if" ?
If it supported it, it would run. Slowly.
Since it doesn't...it doesn't run.
What if my old moped could carry 8 adults?
About that ...
jamesp33 said:Of course it would be slow. my purpose of my thread was to ask if it did support those processors what would be the oldest to run on it.
Something 1GHz or faster.
jamesp33 said:I don't think that true mate. Those specs are the same as windows 7 and Windows 7 can run on a pentium 2 which is like 600 mhz.
For various definitions of "run".
Would it start up? Maybe.
Can you actually do anything with it?
PII topped out at 450MHz.
I have a couple old Dell laptops around. PII 233 and 300. Disturbingly slow, even with Windows 2000, and nothing else.
While it's true that it would be painfully slow I just want to know if it would run on it. It's not the fact that it can do stuff, I just want the fact that it can start. All I want to know what the oldest processor can at least start up Windows 10 if it had all the drivers and setup manuals.
Other people have tried this:
google around. You'll find other attempts.
