Hi, I'm trying to upgrade the GPU on my PC and have found a good mid range GPU that I want to buy, but i'm not sure if my PSU can handle it.

This is the GPU I want to buy:
http://www.hisdigital.com/un/product2-770.shtml

And this is the PSU that I have:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817171031

Problem here is that my PSU only has one 6-pin connector, so im thinking of buying a 2x 4 molex to 6 pin connector to compensate. Would this be a good idea or should I just buy a new PSU?

Together they add up roughly the same price as a R9 270x and have better performance

This is the worry about that psu and any real demand by a gpu. Your psu is in the same quality range as the ones in the video. Pay attention to the rated wattage vrs actual load wattage on these brand new tested units...

Firstly on the power supply, For that card I would say no. If it was a better quality unit with 80 plus bronze/silver/gold etc then I would say it should be alright. However the fact that it only has one 6 pin connector makes me think it wouldn't be able to power that card. Best thing to do is look at how many amps the psu supplies on the 12v+ rail. It should be on the sticker on your psu. Then look at how many amps your card requires.

Out of curiosity how much do you have to spend on a card because that card is quite old now and you could probably get a better and lower power card that would work fine on your power supply.
