Boot Device LED RED, no video, wits end

I built this PC a few years back and it has performed flawlessly for 4-5 years. Then, last week the monitors were dark and it wouldn't boot.

My Build:

Asus P8Z77-V
i7 3730K
DDR3 4 sticks* 4GB corsair
GPU EvGa GTX 560
SSD x 1
HDD RAID 5 array WD 1.8TB X3
Optical Drive
Corsair AX1200i PSU

So I started be reading everyone else's misery on line and it seems to be a relatively common thing after an initial build...but mine is a failure late in the life of this system.

I did strip everything down, reset CMOS, changed batteries, updated the BIOS with USB Flashback...
removed the graphics card, tried the onboard graphics...tried 2 monitors... and then when I figured it had to be the motherboard I found an identical board on the classified sales website, and I swapped out the board...guess what? same thing!!!! RED Boot device LED...

I have tried to boot form the optical drive with no other HDD or SSD attached...same thing.

I do get one short beep just as the CPU, RAM, and VGA POST LEDs flicker off and then the continuous red BOOT DEVICE LED...no more beeps.. no video output...

The big deal for me is the data on the RIAD array.. and as soon as I get it backed up I will be building a new PC...

Unless someone knows if I can get a different PC to somehow read my RAID 5 data form this MoBo... and then I will trash the P8Z77-V as is in an instant.

Solution
I moved my raid to 3 different boards, and it still worked. I started with an Abit P35 pro, moved to a Gigabyte P55 UD3R, to an Asrock P67 extreme4, to a Z77 extreme4. I no longer have the raid. I moved it all to a single 4tb, as I didn't have the money to replace my old failing drives.

I actually DID get things running (partially) and yes, the RAID 5 is visible... that's why I needed the identical MoBo for replacement...

I still don't know what went wrong but I sure did a lot to fix things. Anyhow, I'm going to trash this old rig and make something more current ( no pun intended).
