My gaming pc that I had purchased recently has been making a wierd crackling noise that almost sounds like static or raindrops or something. My PC has a fan on top and back. I thought this noise was normal because I have not been into gaming or had a desktop in a really long time. However, when I tried laying my PC horizontally I could only hear the fans, which sounded normal, and there was NO crackling noise. It literally crackles while its standing vertical however as soon as I put it down on its "belly" or side it stops (all the fans are exposed to air still when i lay it on its side). Idk what could be happening because I really dont see anything in there being able to hit the wire. If someone else has had a similar experience I would appreciate a reply. Sorrry I have been searching for a similar thread all over the interenet but this is bugging me to the point where I just finally decided to post. Thanks alot and sorry if I broke thread rules or something.

Yea thanks alot for the reply, I understand that there really is no way of knowing unless you are here observing the inside of the case. Cyberpower pc made the computer and the parts look really well put together, it really doesnt seem possible to me for a cord to be hitting the fan because there arnt that many visible cords inside I see. (Again im not really well experienced with hardware and stuff). My "Theory" is that maybe one of the screws on the motherboard or somewhere just isnt screwed in properly and it rattles due to the gravity when the pc is placed vertically however in the horizontal position the motherboard is on "its belly" so to say so maybe no rattling because of that. I really dont know at this point haha, thanks alot for replying tho. Are there any professional places that would look at something like this??

Any computer tech can look over the system for you, but you may want to check with Cyberpower and see if they have authorized repair places so you don't void the warranty. Also Cyberpower is not exactly known for their quality, they are a lower range PC builder, usually use cheap power supplies and other parts and make up for it with flashy cases.

I think im just gonna grind this system to the ground for 2 years see if anything goes wrong if its all good its all good whatever. it got reviews on newegg so i bought it. thanks alot for the reply, i just need to find a "computer tech" now.
