I'm sickly so i didn't get to smell the burning of the PSU as i was playing games. The next day PC would not turn on. After further inspection i noted that the pc only turns on for a split second once i switch off the NEW PSU and turn it on and press the power button but then it turns back off and wont turn on until i do that same process again. Please help.

If this doesn't work, you either got a bad power supply and should RMA it, or when your old power supply died it took some other things with it.

same results. I even disconnected the GPU. IT seems to me that the Fans on the tower don't turn on and the fans on the CPU also don't turn on, it was just the fan on the GPU that was turning on for that split second.

Maybe Motherboard died with PSU too as those fans are not spinning.

it was the new PSU! I RMA it and asked the store to test it to see if the PSU was working correctly and they let me know that it wasn't so I got yet another replacement. Thanks everyone for your help!
