Hi all,

I'm thinking about upgrading my gaming pc (mainly graphics card) and maybe some other parts, so just wanted to get some opinions.

I'm thinking of either getting AMD Radeon RX 480 8GB or Nvidia GTX 1060 6B

In your opinion is there anything else that I should be upgrading i.e. Mobo?

Here's my current pc

Assuming that you live in the UK, I'd get any custom (after-market) card which is the cheapest. Both will perform admirably, and will give you a nice performance bump. Either of these is fine, for a good price:

However, if you're not planning to upgrade your graphics card for a while after this, I'd go for the RX 480 due to DX12 optimisation and the fact that AMD tends to age better. Also, if you have a freesync monitor or g-sync monitor i'd also go for the respective card. If still undecided, just go for which you think looks better.

PS: Personally I'd get the rx 480 xD

Alright i'll go with the rx 480. Apart from the graphics card is there anything else that I should upgrade or will everything hold (hoping to play on high settings) for new games that are coming out this year?

Newer games may benefit from 16gb of ram. However, you would be forced to get ddr3 ram due to your motherboard. It really depends on when you want to next upgrade your cpu. Although your cpu is definitely good enough for the next few years, you might want to upgrade soon for ddr4 memory, lower temperatures, blablabla...

If you want to upgrade your cpu soon, I'd advise you wait about upgrading anything else. When you upgrade, you will then have to get a new motherboard. You can then also get 16gb (2*8gb) of ddr4-2400 or 2133 ram.

If you don't want to upgrade soon, and you are perfectly happy with your cpu then you might want to fill up the other ram slots and upgrade to 16gb ram, getting exactly the same one you already have. https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/BFDwrH/gskill-memory-f317000cl11d8gbxl
