Greetings guys,i looked some posts about cpu upgrading but none of them fully answered my questions.
My setup is:
H81-gl
Intel pentium g3258
Rx 480 4gb asus dual
8gb ram
Corsair cs550 80+ gold
Windows 10

So now its time to upgrade my cpu but my budget is extremely limited.I only have 250 euros to spend and i will buy from a local shop.im looking forward to i5 4690K (250€) and i5 4460(200€).But im afraid about the performance. The new generation cpu(i5 6500) because its new it only costs 200€.T he problrm is my system does not support those new cpus thats why i ask:

Is the i5 6500 make a noticeable diffrence to the i5 4460/4690K ?
I play in 1920x1080p and my games are not so demading except for total war. Thanks in advance!

Hello... your MB CPU chipset/socket is designed to work with 4000 series CPU's... also "K" model CPU's are designed to be over clocked with a "Z" model MB's... so the i5 4690k will run just like a i5 4690 in your MB.

I would recommend checking your MB BIO's version installed on it... and checking to see if you have compatibility with the i5 4690K first... as you may need Your old CPU still installed, for a new BIO's update to be installed, before the CPU is changed.
I believe (?) the 4690K at stock is faster than the 6500. Though you are still paying $50 more for a discontinued product that works with a discontinued motherboard lineup.

I bought a used 4690K on Ebay for $165 a while back. It could be something to consider. Actually, a 4690 would be just the same on a non-Z motherboard.

The i5-4690k has a higher clockspeed than the i5-4460. That clockspeed advantage makes it worth the extra euros in my opinion. The i5-6500 is very similar in performance to the i5-4690k due to the 4690k having a higher clock while the i5-6500 has a more efficient architecture. The differences are fairly small.

Remember, obviously you can't overclock on that motherboard, but if you are happy with your motherboard's features then I'd just get the i5-4690k or, if available and cheaper then the i5-4690 (no k). If you choose to get a new motherboard + skylake or kaby lake then you might need to purchase a new windows license. For these reasons, I'd suggest getting the i5-4690k or if they have it cheaper an i5-4690 (no k). Anyway, here's anandtech's comparison of an i5-4690k and an i5-6600 (ignore the "processor graphics" sections since you're using a dGPU): http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/1646?vs=1261

Admirable
Since he is already using G3258 he wont have any problems with 4690k.
BIOS need for 4690k is 1.50 and for G3258 is 1.60 so he is ready to go.
Have you looked into used i7 4770 or 4790 they should be in same price range as 4690k.

If I were in your position

I'd choose either the 4460 or the 4590. The extra money for the K is lost with that board.

Would I purchase an 1151 board, ddr4 RAM and the 6500( about 10% better than the 4460) for any reason? No.
