I am just about to order all my parts on PC part picker and I was wondering if anyone who has built one before could help me out and let me know if the parts I choose are compatible with each other. I was also wondering if the intel i3 7100 was able to work with the motherboard I chose, or if i should just go with the intel i3 6100. I also would like to know if i need 600w or if i should go with 500w. Basically Im asking if there is anything better than what Im doing already (which there probably is). This is my first PC and Im trying to go near 1000$ Canadian for my budget. Last thing is should i go SSD, HDD, or both, thanks to anyone who helps. https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/6qjMyf

In addition to the other words of wisdom I would also dump the keyboard, 2 extra fans and as already stated, dump the water cooler. Stay with stock. I would also buy the 500B instead of the 600. The 500W will be plenty for the 1050 or 1060.

Are you using a keyboard right...
I would say stay witht eh 6100, but it's slower than the 7100. Also, got rid of the liquid cooler since it comes with a stock cooler. This allowed you to get the SSD. I would recommend both. Put a few programs, games, and OS on the SSD, and everything else on the HDD. Also 4 case fans is not necessary at the moment. Also was able to give you a better PSU, since 600 is just a bit too much.

P.S. You need a Windows key as well:

That 3 ways wrong. You don't need water cooling with an i3. Stock cooler is good enough. The 100 series motherboard may not have the latest BIOS for kabylake. You really don't need the extra fans for a locked CPU and low end 1050ti. The600w is overkill.

Are you using a keyboard right now? Use the same one with your new build. But I LOVE TO GAME!!! I need the gaming keyboard. Yes you do but with your initial build you want the CPU and GPU to have the most power they can. Let's assume you buy the i3 6100. That comes with a stock cooler. You are not overclocking at the moment. Assume you toss the AIO closed loop water cooler. That is $65 saved. Canadian of course. You tossed the fans. Assuming again. The case you purchased comes with two fans and the cooler comes with its own fan. So too does the GFX card. You have sufficient cooling for the time being. That's $40 saved. That's $105 saved. This saving is NOT compromising safety at all. You keep your current keyboard. That is another $59 saved. You now have $164 to invest into your CPU or GPU. I'd go for the 1060Ti. Eventually you can upgrade your CPU. You can buy a new keyboard and other peripherals and aftermarket coolers down the road but imo the PC internals should be the stars of the show. A quality PSU is key. You have nice RAM. The price for that 1050 is CRAZY. Guess I'm sorta lucky living down here.

What about https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/z23Dm8 ? The more powerful 6500 i5 quad core. And the 3GB 1060?

It's easier to invest $60 later to buy a better keyboard. You can't spend $60 later to upgrade your CPU or GPU. More fans later. A better cooler. Your build was a beautiful thing and I realize I have taken away some of the beauty. The aesthetics. I have also given it a LOT more power.
