Ext. Hard Drive problem !!!

I have a 500 gb ext. hard disk of NTFS format. The next day when i opened, it shows 305 gb of FAT32 format. Does anyone know the reason behind this?? I had a lot of games in that drive and now i get two files and a full drive... the links of the images are given below. Please help!!!

Unfortunately, there's a chance that the HDD has failed.

How is the drive recognized under Disk Management?

One thing you can try is to see if you will be able to access it with some data recovery tool: https://www.lifewire.com/free-data-recovery-software-tools-2622893
If this doesn't work, then you will need to contact a data recovery company, in case the data is really important.

Trying something simple as just using a different cable and attaching the drive to another port would not hurt as well.
