I have an ASUS z170 deluxe motherboard. Nothing added to computer for months. Last night fans got way louder and after I turned off computer the next day it says an error and the CPU fan is not registering. I have 3 fans total. All 3 are on and circulating good air. I also have a corsair water coolant attached. The temperature for CPU is saying 90 C pretty quickly when I turn on but the motherboard I staying at only 24 C.

If I switch the CPU fan to the CPU optional would it then register on the BIOS list under monitor? Right now it just says N/A.

Is it possible for a CPU to be so much higher of temperature at the same time as the motherboard being so much lower?
