Will i7 7700k Price go down?

Hi, I'm going to be upgrading my motherboard and CPU here pretty soon and was wondering if or when do you think there would be a price drop for the 7700k Kaby Lake processor or if RYZEN will drop the Intel's price at all, thanks for helping!

It seems that AMD has always been aiming at the budget oriented and making chips as such, while I'm confident they might be able to compete with i5's, I wouldn't expect drop in i7's unless they were previous gens or I'm really underestimating them.

Valid point but there could be change if AMD is able to compete, say if AMD made their own i7 on crack, Intel would be losing lots of potential consumers unless the price dropped.

Even if,Ryzen can compete Intel are market leaders so no need to lower prices. I'd think of it like an iPhone, there are always phones as good or better but Apple have the brand name and can charge what they like for their perceived market leading product.
