Hi all.

I just want to ask about HT link frequency Cpu Nb frequency speeds.

I use a crosshair v formula z motherboard and on default the NB frequency is at 2200mhz and the ht link is at 2600mhz.
Now I have managed to overclock my cpu to 4.8ghz (8320) my HTC and CPUNB are quite high. But I read somewhere that the ht link should never be higher then the CPUNB. Is this true?

Solution
Generally it's true, because having a faster ht link than the CPUNB doesn't make sense, since the CPUNB would bottleneck the ht link's speed.

But it is not a problem and can't damage the CPU or MB.

But if you are running the NB at such high frequencies make sure that it has a good airflow and the heatsink is not too hot.
