Does it have two 6pin connectors? If not then no, its probably not powerful enough. I could tell you for sure if you would post the make and model of the power supply you are talking about.

Most probably, it will not work. If the power supply does provide enough wattage for the card, you can use a 6 to 8 pin adapter like https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=6+to+8+pin+pcie

Well my PSU has 2x6 pin connectors and 2x2 pins connectors but I accidentally ordered a 6 pin GPU white sleeved extension
when my GPU needs a 8 pin.
PSU - EVGA 500W BRONZE CERTIFIED PSU.
