Should I wait for vega to buy a higher end graphics card?

I just built a new gaming pc with an i5 6500 with 16gb of ram. I also bought an rx480 for the build but I was having a bunch of problems with the cooler and crashing so I had to send it back. After seeing the performance that card got I was thinking about going for something more expensive like a Gtx 1070. I want to have a graphics card for the next few months at least until AMD vega releases. My question is, should I just get another rx480 or something lower end for now and wait for vega to come out or get a Gtx 1070 now and keep that card for a while?

Solution
Nobody knows how fast or power efficient Vega will be, only that it will hopefully reintroduce some semblance of competition back into the market. If you're content with the performance of an RX 480, then you could buy one and take the 30% or so depreciation as a loss and buy a new card in a few months. 30% of $200 is a lot less than 30% of $400. If you just want performance now, then just get the GTX 1070 or 1080 and enjoy playing your games, it's unlikely from what we've seen so far that Vega's fastest will be any better than a GTX 1080 and waiting for hardware usually isn't very fulfilling.

Thank you for the quick reply. I think I am just going to go for the Gtx 1070 now because the amount of money I may or may not save by getting a vega card later on is not worth the hassle of selling another card
