DDR3 vs DDR4

Hello,

Any idea why this DDR3 Ram (That I own) Costs more than the DDR4?
Both 32GB

I am currently running the DDR3 but only 16GB (4x4) and looking to upgrade whole pc including motherboard, ram and CPU etc.

DDR4 production has ramped up with Sky/Kabylake/Zen on the horizon, while DDR3 production is ramping down.

If you are going Skylake or Kaby Lake (which you should at this point anyway), you definitely want to go DDR4. There are some Skylake motherboards that support DDR3-L (low-voltage, 1.35V DDR3, but yours probably isn't 1.35V).

A Haswell system could effectively use your old DDR3, but it's left with no further upgrade path either.
