So ive been trying to school myself on hardware requirements and how these things all work together. Every google search leads me to this website so you guys must be the correct place to get answers!

Im a day trader and currently have a Dell XPS 8900 that i bought from the microsoft store about 8mo ago. Im happy with it but would like to change my monitor configuration a little bit. I seem to have lost my paperwork that came with it, but im fairly sure its got a Nvidia GeForce gtx 745 card in it now. Power supply im not 100% sure but digging online sounds like its ~ 460W.

My confusion is in cards with display ports.
would this card>>http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487159

Allow me to run 6 monitors if I split one display port to 2 separate monitors?

I have 3 21" monitors running now but id like to upgrage to 4 27" screens and still have the ability to run 2 more in the future. I dont play games so i may not even need a crazy fast card.

EDIT: looking into these workspace cards as well...http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA1UH3YS7526
But my same question remains, can I split one or more of these display ports to run 2 separate monitors?

i'll see what info i can get from this and collect my further questions based on what feedback i can get so i dont ramble on here sounding confused:lol:
