After Installing NZXT G10 and Corsair H50 on my R9 290 Vapor X I get A Gray Screen on Boot.

The lights on the card are blinking, the fans light up as well as spin, keyboard and mouse light up for a about 10 seconds and then turn off. PC boots up perfectly when I take out my gpu and connect my monitor to the motherboard's on board DVI port. When I boot up with the GPU in the screen goes from pitch black to a dark gray color and the monitor says it is receiving signal. All power cables are in the GPU. I really need to get this fixed because I do not have the money for a new card and taking off the heatsink voided the warranty.
Things I have tried:
1. Flashing bios
2. reseating ram
3. booting with one ram stick
4. booting with ram in different assortment in the rails
5. unplugging power supply then pressing power button for a minute then trying to boot.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
