video recording for camera

How do you setup your computer to record your surveillance camera video? I have D-link DSC-934L camera. It is setup and working fine. I can view through my phone and everything. If I go through D-link it is wanting me to use D-link router and their cloud. I have a Asus RT-AC56U router. Is there software to set this up?

Any help is appreciated

You will need some software to do it and pretty much need a dedicated pc that you leave on all the time.

A very popular software is blue iris. There really is no free software that does a good job. This one has a free trial and I think it is only $30 if you are only going to run 1 camera
