I'm looking to build a new desktop and with a baby on the way, I'm looking for possible ways to save money on an initial, basic build. Right now, I've got an older Clevo X7200 with 24Gb of DDR3 SODIMM. I've found many SODIMM to DIMM adapters, but does anyone know of any DDR3 to DDR4 adapters? I know there's a voltage difference but it seems like a simple built-in voltage amplifier would fix that problem.

I have a Socket 1151 motherboard with a Skylake i5-6500 with 16GB of DDR3 memory that serves me quite well, in one of my rigs. I would suggest this motherboard to use DDR3 memory over any adapter you might find.
