CPU led light stays on

Hi, It's been 6 month since I build my computer. But today, it doesn't want to start up. The CPU led light is on ten but everything else is working. I have a Asís m5a99ss motherboard with a fx9900 amd chip. Any idea on what it could be?

If the CPU_LED is constantly lit then Post will not continue till the problem is rectified. It is related to your Processor or the MB.
Have you made changes in Bios recently.? If so try clearing CMOS.
If this does not help and error continues, then both the CPU and MB are suspect. The only way is to check the MB by swapping out the CPU with another known working unit. If that proves the MB is OK then RMA the CPU.
