Hello, thanks for taking time to read my post..

So quick question straight to the point, I got a FF code on my board... I unplugged all peripherals and completely cut off my PSU power to my PC. Waited 5 minutes, plugged the psu back in and powered on my pc...successful boot this time no FF code but I got a AA code instead which means all is well no post error, according to my manual.

So what exactly happened here? Is there a possibility this FF code is an indication that something is about to go bad? if so what could it be? here about 4 months ago I did re tighten a few screws on my MOBO to ensure it would not short out if that helps.

At first I thought man my board is fried..or dang my cmos battery is bad. Anyway I really appreciate your opinion on this I would really like an answer!

Thank you

Qcode FF is a huge flag,It found a fault and what you did obviously fixed the issue and it could be the system did not initialize one of your system components depending on what you were doing at the time.
I would not worry about it Valorek as Qcode AA is what you want meaning, Post has handed over to the OS system.
If it was to happen continuously then a breadboard session is usually needed to identify the problem.

Well thanks a ton man, I honestly haven't had a dreaded FF code before although I knew what It meant, if It becomes more consistent, I will definitely transfer each individual part over to a test bench and check for defaults.

Thanks a lot!
