I bought a Desk Mini 110W in December from Amazon. It say it is supports 7th Gen Intel CPU on the specification.

However, the motherboard is ASRock H110M-STX. I haven't bought the CPU yet. Thus, I am considering to buy a 7th Gen Intel CPU. How can I check if the BIOS is up-to-date to supports 7th Gen Intel CPU? or can I use the 7th Gen Intel CPU to flash the BIOS? I only have a 4790K in my desktop, so take it to the desk mini is not possible (not supported).

You have no way of knowing what bios the board is on.
Bios 1.50 with kaby lake support was released september though so there is a viable chance its already on the latest one.
I dont think you could flash with a kaby lake chip if its on 1.40 or earlier though.

I mean the 4790K is for my desktop PC that I am using. Desk Mini is another system that I am planning to build.

Youre safer going with a skylake chip - theres no drastic performance increase anyway really - assuming a 110w power brick thats hardly a high performance system youre building - asuuming its for htpc use or similar??

It check the date on my package and it is after the BIOS update release. I decide to go with a Kaby Lake and it works.
