ok, so i am guessing that most of your answers would be that i do not have a sound card installed in my pc , i have not physically opened my computers case to check , but i am sure that its there , reason being is that a few months ago , before my windows got corrupt and i had to install new windows , i was able to hear audio directly from my pc without the use of headphones or an ear piece , now , i am not able to do that , i constantly need to have an ear piece insterted into my pc to be able to hear audio or to play games , otherwise the games do not run at all. i am not really into computer troubleshooting and i do not know much about it as i am really just a 13 year old . i can tell tell you this information if it helps you out : when i go to device manager , in the section 'other devices' , there are exclamation marks in the ' PCI serial port ' and the 'PCI simple communications controller ' . now, i have tried to install the driver updates for these these two , thinking that that might be the cause of the problem , but when i right click on it and i select ' update driver software ' , the computer cannot find the update for these drivers. i have also checked under the sound , video and game controlllers section in the device manager to see if something was wrong with it , but everything was correct , i had high definition audio device and nvidia virtual audio device (wave extendable ) (wdm) installed , sio i dont see why there shoulb be a problem with my audio , any solutions? id really be grateful for an answer . Thanks in advance
