I am building a desktop and am trying to have an internal wireless networking adapter to avoid having antennas outside of the case.
My motherboard is an ASUS Z-170A and I just bought an Intel Network 7260.
Are these compatible because I dont see a place to put it?

Sorry, the Intel Network module is typically for a laptop. There's no connector for it on the Asus mobo. You have two choices for wireless adaptors for a desktop PC. You can either install a PCIe card or you can use a usb dongle. Here's an example PCIe card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833704241&cm_re=pcie_wifi_card-_-33-704-241-_-Product, and here's a usb dongle http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA9H43NS3162&cm_re=usb_wifi_adapter-_-9SIA9H43NS3162-_-Product
