Core temp hitting 100c

So I just got my new i7 7700k, trying to overclock it to 4.5ghz for now with 1.28v. So my CPU temp is around 88-90c but the one of my cores constantly hitting 100c max. Is that good or bad? And how long should I stress test it?

PC specs:

i7 7700k
Asus Tuf Mark 2 z270 motherboard
Lepa Liquid Cooler
R9 270x GPU
16 GB Corsair Vengeance

Any chance your using prime95? Newer versions of prime95 are bugged with Intel. I suggest using prime95 verison 26.6 and test again.

I typically use Prime95 26.6 testing with Small FFT's for 10-30 mins. Be sure your monitoring with Core Temp (I also use HWmonitor & NZXT CAM Software as a double check). Here is a excellent guide by Computronix.

Prime95 Version 26.6: http://windows-downloads-center.blogspot.com/2011/04/prime95-266.html
I think newer versions of Prime95 over-volt your CPU past your settings causing such high temps.

Test using Small FFT's for 10-30 mins and let us know the package temp.
