Thinking about AIO for my 5820k. In need of expert opinions.

A couple of months ago, I decided to OC my 5820k for the first time. I opted for a light OC of 4.2 GHz @ 1.1V. It was stable, but the only problem was the CPU temperature would reach 75c (with an aftermarket air cooler) while playing Battlefield 1, which is a bit too warm for my liking. So I've considered buying an AIO, and I'm currently eyeing the Corsair H60 120MM:

I think this is the only one that will fit my case, which is a Zalman Z9 Mid-tower case:

Is this a good AIO for my CPU and MOBO (Asus X-99/3.1)? The price is fairly decent. The only problem, however, is the installation process. I've watched videos on Youtube, but I'm a bit afraid to do it myself.

Is it worth it to go with an AIO? My GTX 1080 is overclocked, but I feel that I could use a bit more performance with an OC CPU.

you need a lot more cooling power than the h60. look for the biggest your case can handle(the amazon page says the front of the case will handle a 240mm). might want to consider adding some good fans too. not sure if the case will allow you to do a push-pull, but you might want to consider it, if the case will. that's a lot of chip to cool. no dinky 120mm(except maybe a really fat radiator and high quality pump combo/with top flight fans will cool that beast). check out tom's recommended 240mm AIO, probably a great place to start(http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/arctic-cooling-cpu-liquid-freezer-240-closed-loop,4735.html, this would be my choice of the 240mms that they recommend).

A good AIO is certainly worth it. My main build is currently a 5820k OC'd to 4.4 GHz using a Corsair H110i GTX and it tops out at 65 C under full load / stress testing. But the H110i GTX is probably a wee bit big for your case. I do see that your case says it can take a 240mm radiator though, so maybe look at some of those options. Otherwise, stick to a good air cooler, because most 120 / 140 mm AIO's don't perform better than that.

Thank you everyone for your feedback!

Chemmajorp53, I checked out the cooler you mentioned on Amazon, and damn does it look big. My current case is a Zalman Z9 mid-tower, and with my current MOBO (Asus X-99/3.1), I'm afraid it might not fit. But the ratings for that cooler are really high, so I'm definitely going to look into it.

It is massive, but it's also great if it actually fits. The fans that come with it are PWM and super high quality, and should you ever need new hardware to fit the cooler to a new socket, Noctua will send it to you for free. Based on the max cpu cooler height for the case, it will be REALLY close, but might fit if you move the fans down a bit. Just keep it in mind

What is another good alternative that has similar performance to the NH-D15? I'm planning on upgrading my RAM to 32GB soon, so I need a bit of room to work with lol!
