i know this is an oldish topic and youve probably already bought the gpu by now

but i just want to add that i got the exact same case from zoostorm, with the same h110m-r mobo, and have a nightmare with my asus gtx1060 dual oc running very hot. over 82c in just 2minurtes of running valley benchmark, and continues to rise slowly after that.
the pcie slot on the motherboard is so low down that theres only 1cm between the gpu fans and the bare metal bottom of the case.

the gpu is effectively suffocating in its own air, which has nowhere to go.

even adding a noctua a0 front 92mm case fan did nothing because the card is so low down that the air just travels above it.

if you get a card for that case at the very least make sure its a blower style card because then youve got the best chance of getting the gpus hot air out of the case.

badly designed motherboard really. placing the pcie slot on the very edge is not good design unless its the second pcie slot of a sli board.

Thanks for your post.

I'm not a serious gamer and so after much umming and ahhing I opted for a cheaper card - Gigabyte Radeon rx460 Windforce - which you can pick up for under £90. The card fits in the case with only 1 or 2 centimeters below it to the floor of the case.

I also noticed the card was running hot - getting to 90c pretty quickly and still climbing. My solution was to download MSI Afterburner and configure the fan settings. This resulted in the fans keeping the temp to not much above 70c.

So I'm happy with the card now but would agree that the mobo is poorly designed which might explain the cheap cost of the zoostorm unit. I suppose if I do ever want to upgrade the card, I would need to also get a better mobo.

I hope that the Afterburner solution works for you too.

An update on this.... A couple of months ago, the GPU died. Not sure if it was related to the card position in the case and over-heating or whether this can just happen? Anyway, I've bought a Thermaltake Core V1 mITX case and mITX mobo and transferred all the other bits from the old Zoostorm build. I've also bought a Geforce GTX1060 which now vents nicely through the grill on the LHS of the case. So, lesson learned perhaps. Is there anything than can be done with the RX460 or should I just recycle it?
