Hi I'm looking to build a budget pc to replace my current premade. I plan to use it for some medium level gaming, and I don't really care for 1080p or VR, just something stable in the 40-60FPS range in the latest titles at medium res. Currently, I have a GTX 750TI (ASUS OC 2GB version) that I bought from a friend. Besides that I have nothing else. Not including the gpu, my budget is $250 but I may be able to squeeze $300 if it's really necessary. Since it's my first build, I'd prefer new parts. I know there's a MicroCenter and Frys near where I live, if that helps. Any suggestions are welcome! Thanks!

Well, i'll be honest...$250-$300 is just going to get you a slightly better sh*tbox.

My question would be, what are the rest of your existing computer's specs? It's possible that you could get somewhat better performance from the system you already have with some relatively low-cost upgrades. Maybe something as simple as a RAM upgrade could help, or perhaps a CPU upgrade if the motherboard socket is reasonably modern. Is the operating system 64 bit to support more than ~3GB of memory? $250-$300 is not a lot to work with for a PC build, even if you already have a graphics card. Being able to reuse some of your system's existing components would probably help, unless they are really old.
