I have just started building my pc and everything is fine except when I go to bios my, brand new, hardrive isn't detected. I have tried to change the sata ports and power supply but it still doesn't work. There is also a beeping noise when I boot my computer which I believe is coming from the hard drive as it vibrates every beep.

Welcome to the community, @Randalthevandal!

This sounds pretty unfortunate. :( The sounds could be indicating a physical hardware failure on the HDD. I'd advise you to get the HDD connected to another working PC around you and check if the drive will get recognized properly from there. If the same issue is still present, you should definitely check up on the warranty of the drive. In case it's still covered, you should be able to RMA it once you send a request to the manufacturer's or the reseller's customer support.

If the drive is recognized on the other system but yours still refuses to do so, you should check the BIOS settings and make sure you got the SATA ports enabled through the settings.

Keep me posted & Good luck...
