And why would I want it? Tried looking up the answer, but they all give long-winded explanations that don't explain much. They keep mentioning Shazam and Soundhound (apps I have, but never use) and then go of on a tangent

Ah, thanks. That's all those websites needed to say without the whole essay. That's stuff my phone already does for free (if you don't count the cost of the phone). Does it with films too, because of Google Play Movies. Kind of goes back to the question, why are so many (not all) TVs so expensive when phones are as little as half the price and do more

IDK man, phones are outrageously priced in my opinion. Considering the fact that I give Verizon $10,000 every 10 years - the least they could do is send me a free phone now and again.

ACR seems pointless and invasive for a TV - you gotta figure it is always on...
"The film you're watching stars Sasha Grey and is titled..." haha, no thanks!

I don't know what the US prices for phones are or why you're giving $1000 to Verizon every year, but for me I give less than £200 a year, covers all my data, calls and texts (rarely run over) and my phone was paid for outright (£500 or thereabouts IIRC). I was talking about the cost of the hardware not the service attached. Then again, it depends which end of the TV market you're aiming at. The latest and greatest phones are around the same price as low end TVs (depending on which type of TV you're going for)
