Intel i5-6600K Running Stable at 4.8GHz w/ no VCore Change... Am I Stress Testing it Wrong?

Hello.
Recently, I got a new liquid cooler (NZXT Kraken x61). Because of this, I decided to overclock my CPU a bit more than it already was, as temperatures were hindering me from going any further. I was able to get my i5-6600K to 4.8GHz without changing the vcore... This seems extremely odd to me. Either I've hit the jackpot in the silicone lottery, or I'm testing the chip wrong. I've run both AIDA64 and RealBench on it for an hour or so, and I have not had any sort of crash. No BSOD and no obvious core crashes. My Cinebench scores have also been going up as I upped the overclock, and HWMonitor has been indicating the 4.8GHz aswell. Am I stress testing it wrong?

Thanks!

If you're using an auto overclock utility it's changing the voltage for you.

Thanks, I was looking at the wrong part of HWMonitor, now realizing that my vcore is at 1.392v better turn that down...

thats not bad if your keeping it cool enough, but usually leaving vcore on auto gives it too much voltage, so try 1.35v for 4.8ghz, if it fails then slowly start upping the voltage
