Purely for gaming. No overclock and only one gpu. Planning to use this for 3 to 4 years before upgrading all parts completely. Using a 1080p monitor. My friend can get me windows 10 or 7 or 8.1 for free so the parts below are the only ones i need.

i7 6700k
MSI Z170A GAMING M5 LGA 1151 ATX Intel Motherboard
Corsair CX650M 650 Watt ATX Modular Power Supply
Samsung 850 EVO-Series 500GB SATA III 6Gb/s 2.5"
EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 SuperClocked GAMING GDDR5
GeIL 16GB 2 x 8GB DDR4-2400 Desktop Memory Kit
Corsair Hydro Series H55 Quiet Edition Liquid CPU

Total Price is $1360.86

Is this a good deal? Are the psu, cooler, ssd, gpu, and motherbroad decent brands/parts?

Thanks in advance.

Much better for that price. Current gen. kabylake build. The board has a lot of connectors as well as bluetooth and wifi integrated. One of the best Z270 boards currently. M2 SSD will eliminate cable management. Better cooler and psu.

If you mean no overclocking across all components then you should just get a 6700(non k) because if you dont plan to overclock you are paying extra for no reason.

EDIT: You could also save tons on the cpu cooler by getting something like the 212evo or cryorig h7 instead.

The reason why i think the k version would be better is that the stock clock is at 4.0 while the non k is at 3.4. About the 212 evo/h7 fan cooler. How is your experience with them? Does the fan actually still work after having the computer for over 2 years? I heard stories where the fan stops working after a few months.

The spec page for the 6700 states that the 6700 will boost to 4Ghz during heavy load so that isnt a concern. The fan's life expectancy is 40,000 hours. There are 8,760 hours in a year. That means the fan should last about 4.5 years. The 212 Evo is an amazing cooler. I had it but upgraded to a noctua for better overclocking performance. It will not disappoint. I do not have experience with the H7 cooler however most people say it is better than the 212. Your call.
