What to repair?

So, I am building my sister a new computer for gaming and It is built using all the old parts of my PC. So I know for a fact they should work together... Only different things in the PC is the hard drive and her PSU. I booted it up and went through the Windows 10 installation process and when I first boot. It says I need to repair my pc... Any idea on what I need to fix or replace? I am willing to spend money on new parts as well. I just need to know what to buy.
NOTE: The hard drive used was an old one that was corrupted. I cleared the partitions on it so I thought that would fix it. Please correct me if that doesn't fix corruption issues and I need to buy a new hard drive

If you deleted the partitions on the hdd and it's still saying it needs to be repaired, you may have to replace it

Well you said it was corrupt, and you did try to reinstall windows, so obviously something is wrong with it

Could be bad ram. I think faulty ram can cause corruption too. Try and format the hdd in another computer. See if it formats it

No see if you can do what you did before delete the partitions and reinstall windows

it'll probably crash if the hdd wasnt originally in your system. if you try to boot from it

Well if it said it needs to be repaired 10+ times. obviously it's stuffed.

Unplug your hdd connect this, try and install windows. If it does the same thing, it's stuffed. Replace it

Ok so that should be OK. See how the laptop hdd goes then! If that works then obviously the other hdd is knackered

Just tried the laptop HDD, the installation didnt pick it up and it wouldn't start (The HDD) so obviously that HDD is dead, Ill find a new one

Looks bad. 746 pending sectors, they need to be resolved.
Open Elevated Command prompt and execute:

chkdsk X: /f /r

(X: - insert drive letter of your WDC-WD1001FAES disk)
That is going to be rather long process. Could be hours before it finishes.
