Graphics card upgrade

I am looking into getting a new graphics card

this is my system
Intel Core i7-860 Lynnfield Quad-Core 2.8 GHz LGA 1156 95W

ASUS P7P55D-E

CORSAIR TX Series CMPSU-750TX 750W

XFX Radeon HD 5770

CORSAIR XMS3 12GB
and my budget is $200
I want to play COD Infinite Warfare but too much lag with 5770! please help!

Your cpu is 1st gen. i-core, and any current card that you atatch with it might get bottlenecked, not by much though. Having said that, this should be your ideal choice in that budget.

Better card, but you do drop from 8gb vram to 4gb. You'll actually get better performance with the 480 though.

I don't play this game but I thought that Infinite Warfare wasn't particularly demanding on the CPU side of things. There's no way you'd get good performance from a 5770 though, haha. I do know you want 4gb vram on your videocard for this game. So leave out the RX 460 since the premium for the 4gb is not worth it. Leave out the 1050. This means it's 1050 Ti, 470 4gb, or 480 4gb in my opinion. If you plan to keep this system as is, and budget is priority one, then I'd probably go with the 470. If you plan to upgrade and reuse the card with a new system, I'd go with the 480.

They will work ofcourse. But the most powerful card within your budget is this(gtx1060 3gb)... https://pcpartpicker.com/product/HWtWGX/evga-geforce-gtx-1060-3gb-gaming-video-card-03g-p4-6160 which is pretty underpowerd compared to the 470. You can go with the 1060 if you want.

An nVidia 1060 3gb model is in no way better than a Radeon 480 4gb model. That just isn't true. If there is a Radeon 480 under 200 dollars, it's it in the budget and a much better card. Period.

Both 480 and 470(8gb) are better than 1060 3gb.
