So, i have this old Sony Vaio laptop with Intel Pentium B980 cpu and Radeon HD 7650M card. My video card died a few days ago and now I can only use the laptop for browsing internet/watching non-hd videos in 1024x768 resolution.It says its using Microsoft Basic Adapter on devices. My questions are- Can i just used my processor as a video card since apparently the B980 cpu supports Intel HD graphics and if yes, why cant i install the HD graphics drivers from intel on it?(i get "this computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software " error)

No, the only video is that Radeon.
If it was dead you wouldn't see anything. If its on 1024*768, it means the video drivers are not installed
Go here and download the drivers
Select Notebook graphics, Radeon HD, Radeon HD 7600M series and your OS
The Intel drivers install is giving you that message because it's not an Intel video card/output

Well, when i install the GPU drivers, i get a black screen with some artefacts that flickers a few times and the PC restarts.

I had to enter safe mode to uninstal the drivers just to be able to run the laptop
