GPU: Asus GeForce GT710 VGA 2GB LP

Put it in, nothing picked up in the PCI slot according to BIOS

Boot into windows on the onboard VGA, devmgmt says theres an unknown 'Video Controller'. I tried installing the drivers both from GeForce and the Disk provided but both give me the same output of a GeForce card being needed.

If I plug the old card back in (Radeon 2400 XT), the PCI slot picks it up.

Computer: Dell Optiplex 755

Any and all help is appreciated.

I only have the one slot, the other one is backwards. There aren't a need for any 'power connectors' either. At least, I don't think so...

The backwards slot is now PCI-E it's PCI.

Try removing all the old AMD drivers. Also be sure a tight connection is made with the pins.

The header is quite small though and the GPU is quite big, but i'll give this a shot when i'm back home.
