GTX 1080 AMP! Extreme + i7 -6700K Power Requirements?

Yo so I'm planning to upgrade my gpu very soon. Currently I have a Zotac GTX 970 running with my i7-6700k @ 4.5Ghz.

I have a 750w PSU from Corsair, and I've heard that the 1080 AMP! Extreme draws about 450-500w, not sure about when OC though, but i want to OC. So is my PSU enough for both the 6700k @ 4.5Ghz and this 1080 model while OC?

The AMP extreme doesn't draw 500W.
Who told you that?
The whole system might.
It has a TPD of 270W.

Overclocking the AMP Extreme is severely limited by Boost 3.0 (and not really necessary)

If it is a Corsair PSU that's strong on the 12V rail it will easily be enough

Ahh..well that's a big difference. I think I saw it in a youtube comment or some other forum, or perhaps I misread it. In any event, thanks man!
