If you're not considering the 'K' version of the 4690 and just the standard version then i would choose the i5 4460. Unless you are wanting to overclock to make the PC more future proof then i would get the 4690k but there wouldn't be any need in overclocking with your GPU.

you mean there is not much performance gap between the two? they say with the 4690 you could squeeze a bit of edge out in games against 4460, even barely :??:

is it worth to spend that amount against the 4460? what do you think?

if you are building new then an i5 7500 or i5 7400 would be the best choice

I would take the 4690 over a 4460, depending on budget

The FPS difference between the two when gaming would be 1-2 fps and considering the price gap i would get the cheapest one which is the 4460 due to there not being a great difference.

I'll just be upgrading and want to reuse my ddr3 ram :) so i am just considering the haswell options :)

what do you think? do you think the extra price is worth the 500mhz difference in clock speed between the two?

Will be easier to recommend one if you list the prices. How much does the i5-4460 cost, and how much does the i5-4690? If you live in the US, that's easy as we can look it up. but we don't know if you do.

Currently, the i5-4460 costs 175 dollars whilst the i5-4690 costs 240 dollars. That's a massive price increase and not worth it. Maybe if it was 190-200 dollars it would be.

I live in the Philippines and the prices are the following:
- i5-4460
158.79 | 170.96
- i5-4690
197.00 | 187.05

I put in 2 prices because those are from different stores that I found, thanks for your input! :)

I called the store earlier, and there is an update in price

- i5-4460
174.98
- i5-4690
187.04

The 4460 suddenly got a price spike, I'm like paying 2 dollars per 100Mhz because in Philippine peso its 8,700(4460) versus 9,300(4690), what do you guys think?
