Hey,
Im thinking of upgrading to a MSI GTX1050 TI 4GT OC (white, dual fan) and just wanted to make sure, if my motherboard is compatible either with the new architecture or the wattage. My motherboard is: MSI H61M-P22 (B3). Also was wondering if any of you know if that exact white dual fan oc card requires an external power connector, because i cant find any information.
Thanks!

It doesn't list it as needing external power like they do on the 1080 cards which means it doesn't need it. Also no pics I found show the connections, which are almost always on the top or rear of the card. Yes, it is a pcie 3.0 card but it is backwards compatible to pci 2.0.

The board has a PCI-e X16 so will take that card. Wattage will be determined by your PSU, but that card has a low requirement of only 300W so I would guess you are already meeting that.
The MSI specs on that GTX 1050 ti do not list a power connection so it does not need an external power connection. If you lookup one of the 1080 cards on the MSI site it lists power connections for those.
