Hello there, I recently bought a new computer and wanted to upgrade my SSD from 60gb to 256gb. My current one is an mSATA kingston one that is on the motherboard (Gigabyte GA-Z77X-D3H). I wanted to know, if I bought a SATA one that wouldn't go on the motherboard would it be any slower and if so would a samsung mSATA be compatible with my motherboard?

You aren't going to see much of a difference in price for mSATA versus SATA. The Samsung 850 EVO 250GB mSATA SSD and the Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SATA are around $100 where I live. Since you already have the mSATA slot, you can just replace the 64GB one and don't have to mess with power cables and SATA cables.
