I am upgrading/rebuilding my PC with a new mobo, CPU, video card, and RAM and going from Win7 32 bit to Win7 64 bit. I have Windows currently installed on its own partition and all of my games on another partition. My question is this: Since I'm switching from 32 bit to 64 bit, will I still be forced to reinstall all or some of my games, or will they be fine since they're on a separate partition?

Solution
I always install my OS on a separate partition on my SSD, then use the other part of the SSD for programs, and the larger 1-6TB drives to install and store games.

I just went from W7 64 bit to W10 64 bit, and so far every game has launched fine. You will lose any saves of course, unless you store the save folder on another partition or drive. Also, make sure you reinstall anything that needs to be in the redist folder (DirectX, Visual Studio, etc).

Aside from that, you may need to create new shortcuts, and in the case of games that have both 64 bit and 32 bit shortcuts, use the 64 bit one for the 64 bit OS.
