Ordered this motherboard before finding out if it'll work with my new GPU. Upgrading to this from a Pegatron 2ac2.

Solution

Yeah, thought so. AMD seems to have more trouble interfacing with OEM boards than Nvidia. At least in my experience. In fact, of all my boards and cards, none of my Nvidia cards refuse to work. But several AMD do. Got an old 775 socket Lenovo (IBM) now that won't run any of my AMD cards past the HD-3xxx series that I have.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing, however I didn't realize it wouldn't be compatible with my IPISB-CU (or it is called Carmel2 or Pegatron 2AC2) board due to outdated AF BIOS that no one that I've seen has modded and I don't know how to do it myself.

Thanks for the reply and if you'd know how to make my old (current) MoBo (which DOES have a compatible slot) work with it until my new one comes, please lemme know. The GPU lights up and spins but no post.

Thanks!

OEM motherboard designs sometimes have issues with newer gfx card BIOSs. If there is no motherboard BIOS update avaialable, chances are you are not going to get the card to interface. You won't have that problem with the new retail board.
Btw, what is the gfx card in question? Wouldn't be an AMD card by any chance, would it?
