8GB of RAM installed, but only 4GB is usable? I've tried changing max. RAM from msconfig.

<Insert title here>. Another thing I tried was to into chipset settings and enable Memory Remap Feature from BIOS but couldn't find that option no matter how much I looked.

It shows on the system info that I have 8GB, but on the task manager it shows only 4078 of physical memory.

Also when I go to BIOS it shows that only 4GB of RAM is installed?

It detects that you have 8gb installed but says only 4gb is usable? It really sounds like you have a 32bit OS. If you're sure, are you using two sticks of 4 or one stick of 8? If its two sticks of 4 are they mismatched? Meaning not the same make and model? Have you tried the sticks individually to see if you have a bad stick?

I'm using 2 of these: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231314

(G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600) So they are not mismatched, and I really doubt that one of them is broken.
