I was at target and I had a question, what the difference between the $7 and the $35 surge power supply?

Really depends on the companies in question. The $35 could be made of higher quality breakers and fuses, or they could be the same thing made in the same factory but just marked up. If the $7 looks like its decent quality, just go for that.

As Ethanh suggests, it is probably just a difference in quality. What i would do is try and lookup reviews for both. sometimes there will be that one product that is super cheap but super good. You never know.
