I have had my pc for 2 years. I recently decided to upgrade it. I went from an asus maximus viii hero with an i7 4770 and 16 gb of 1600 ghz ddr3 ram to an msi z170a pro carbon with an i7 6700k and 8 gb of 2133 ghz ddr4 ram. After i performed the installation I did what any sensible person would do and i popped the drivers and utilities disk in to make sure everything would run smoothly. Spoiler: nothing did. While attempting to install the drivers they would hang at around 99%. When i reboot I get a driver power state failure bsod. And the bsod prevents me from accessing safe boot mode. I have performed sfc and it says nothing is wrong. I have contacted microsoft and they have no clue. Please help.

MERGED QUESTION
Question from Jonathan_418 : "Installations never finish. Please help."

I recently upgraded from an asus maximus viii hero mother board, an i7 4770 cpu, and two sticks of 8gb 1600 hz ddr3 ram. To an msi procarbon gaming z170a motherboard, an i7 6700k cpu, and two sticks of 4 gb 2133 hz ddr4 ram. Now i plugged everything in and booted successfully into the OS, Windows 10, I was going to download and install my drivers but as i did the installations would stop around 99% i ran sfc and it told me nothing was wrong. I tried to boot into safe mode and my pc bsod saying Driver Power State Failure. Im currently doing a system restore to see if that works. Please help im at my wits end.
